About ECSA

there’s something for everyone!

MY STORY
my journey began in the middle of the pandemic.

i started being inspired by all the posts i saw on social media that people were making about their handmade goods and crafts. i thought that it looked fun to do, and turns out i really enjoyed it! the polymer clay crafts, air drying clay trinkets, beaded earrings and necklaces, all of it. i continued to make my items even after lockdown was finished, and eventually turned it into what it is today!

WHERE WE SOURCE MATERIALS

all our matierals are either soucred online or from local shops in south africa.

while we are aware sourcing materials and tools from online shops such as takealot or temu are not the best option, there isn’t anywhere else to get such items from AS WELL AS staying in the price bracket that we currently are in for our handmade items. we are very concious of the unethical practices of such websites, but believe that it is better that we are fully using the bought materials to their utmost extent. nothing goes unused, and if it’s purpose is fufilled and there is still more of it, it is donated to a local charity or home.

that being said, we also support local craft businesses by purchasing various beads, wire, metal claspings, clay, etc from them. majoirty of our current material stock is from local shops found in Cape Town and Durban.

FUTURE PLANS FOR ECSA

charities and donation initiatives.

we recognize that purchasing our materials at online spaces is not the best option, so we have a solution that we want to work towards in the future.

for a while i have wanted to do a national snail mail club, available at mutliple tiers and items. this is something i want to work towards in the near future, so that when i launch the snail mail club i can donate to charities and NGO’s monthly.

ideally every month a portion of the funds created by the snail mail club will be donated to a charity chosen by my audience. this can be baby homes, hospice, animal shelters and ecological initiatives. this would be my way of giving back to the world!

hopefully when this idea launches, i will see you on the list.
